105-year-old American Virginia Hyslop received a master's degree in education. NBC writes about it .

According to the publication, Virginia began studying at Stanford University in 1936. He successfully completed his bachelor's degree and entered the master's program. But after her fiancé was drafted into World War II, the woman stopped going to university.

Virginia explains that she had already completed her master's thesis and only had to submit its final version. But the woman got married and decided to spend her honeymoon in Oklahoma, where her husband George was serving.

After the war, Virginia settled in Washington state with her husband and two children and worked as a specialist.

Recently, Virginia's son-in-law contacted Stanford University, where they explained to him that a woman does not need to defend a degree to receive a master's degree. Therefore, Virginia attended the appropriate ceremony and received her title 83 years late.
