Scientists have determined what dogs like to watch on TV

Scientists at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School have determined what types of television programs dogs like. The Daily Mail writes about this based on a scientific article published in the journal Applied Animal Behavior Science .

According to the publication, the research was conducted in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Australia, with a survey of up to 1.3 thousand dog owners. It has been found that dogs pay close attention to the screen when programs about animals, specifically dogs, are shown on it. Also, programs about wild animals, cats, cows and horses are of great interest.

76% of respondents said their dogs "enjoy" watching cartoons, with many liking Scooby-doo. In addition, dogs show interest in sports matches when a ball is used in them. 18% of respondents claim that their pets also like video games.

The research also had another goal - to improve the system for checking the sight of dogs. Specialists point out that the current method is ineffective. They believe that identifying the most interesting content for dogs will help improve this system in the future.
