British media - Blue card rule in football yet to be introduced

According to the British media, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) has decided not to test the blue card rule in football in the near future.

The council was supposed to support the introduction of the blue card on February 9, but it stopped the process due to negative feedback. It is not yet known when the issue will be discussed again.

A player with a blue card will be suspended from the field for 10 minutes. A player will receive such a card if he disrupts a very dangerous quick attack of the opponent or continues arguing with the referee for a long time. Also, receiving two blue cards in one encounter will convert to a red card, as will one blue and one yellow card.

According to the publication "Telegraph", the test of the blue card was planned for the English Football Association Cup from next season.
