Farmers are holding a protest in Spain, several main highways of the country are blocked, "Reuters" reports .

At the rally, farmers are holding banners with the inscription: "Without farmers, there will be no food."

Farmers blocked traffic with tractors across the country in protest, including blocking highways leading from Seville and Granada to the French border.

"In different ways, however, all the countries of the European Union have the same problems," said Donaciano Dujo, vice-president of one of the largest associations of Spanish farmers, ASAJA.

Spanish farmers are demanding a restriction on food imports from Ukraine and other non-EU countries and a reduction in fuel prices.

In addition, farmers' protests are taking place in France, Belgium, Italy and Portugal.
