Bundestag backs ruling coalition's proposal to supply long-range weapons and equipment to Ukraine, with no mention of Taurus missiles

Germany's Bundestag has backed the ruling coalition's proposal to supply long-range weapons and equipment to Ukraine, with no mention of Taurus missiles.

382 deputies supported the corresponding initiative , 284 legislators voted against it, and two abstained.

It is worth noting that there is a difference of opinion between the parties regarding whether the approved initiative provides for the delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv.

Before voting on the mentioned proposal, the Bundestag voted against the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine . The right-center opposition bloc of the Christian-Democratic Union and the Christian-Social Union submitted the proposal to deliver the mentioned missiles to Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, a member of the ruling coalition, chairman of the Bundestag Defense Committee, voted in favor of the transfer of Taurus.
