Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners of war

Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners of war once again . According to the President of Ukraine, 207 people returned to Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reports about 195 released servicemen and claims that 195 prisoners were also handed over to Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, among the freed Ukrainians are defenders of Mariupol, military personnel who were on the island of Zmeyn, as well as soldiers who fought in the directions of Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson.

However, Kiev did not specify the number of prisoners that were handed over to Russia.

For information, this is the first time that Ukraine and Russia have exchanged prisoners since the Russian Il-76 military transport plane crashed near Belgorod. The Russian side claims that 65 Ukrainian prisoners, who were planned to be exchanged, died as a result.
