Jose Mourinho was fired from the position of head coach of Roma. The 60-year-old Portuguese took over Roma in May 2021, won the Conference League with the club in 2022, and reached the Europa League final in 2023.

In the current draw of Serie A, "Roma" is in ninth place and is 5 points behind the Champions League zone. Last week, "Roma" was eliminated from the Italian Cup by fellow city "Lazio".

Roma's official statement said the club would like to thank Mourinho for his loyalty, but that "changes were necessary" in the club's interests.
